Fashioning an Education: 150 Years of Vassar Students and What They Wore

The Vassar College Costume Collection’s Sesquicentennial exhibition is now on display and it was an honour to be involved. In the section on the 1950s, you can see two of the garments I collected during my research on display (a VC Blazer and an evening gown) and accompanying text from myself also.

The faculty and students involved have done an astonishing job and this is a very special collection – if you are from out of town, I wholeheartedly recommend a trip to Poughkeepsie and if you are in the area, you must stop by!

Congratulations to Arden Kirkland and her team and thank you for asking me to be part of this exciting exhibition.
